Chase the blues away with our original blue slippers for women

Get ready to elevate your downtime with blue slippers for women from glerups. With a colour inspired by the sea surrounding Denmark, let the tranquillity of the blue help put your mind at ease. In our selection we have different shades of blue or blueish colours, so you can choose which nuance suits you and your style the best. If you would like a subtle, discreet kind of blue, the colour “Denim” might be something for you. If you want something a bit brighter and eye-catching, “North Sea” could be an option.

Taking comfort to the next level

At glerups, we have always strived to ensure the wearers of our footwear with the most comfortable experience possible. We have done this by making a wool blend that is quite unique and bursting with natural benefits. In making this blend, we have sought to find the very best nature can offer. We’ve landed on a mix of wool from Danish Gotland sheep and wool from New Zealand, resulting in a very comfortable and soft wool blend. Some people avoid products made of wool as they can feel scratchy against the skin, but not these slippers. This is due to the molecular structure of the wool, which resembles that of human skin, making them feel extra comfortable and suitable for sensitive skin. This also means that you can wear them for extended periods of time without the risk of your skin getting damaged or developing rashes.

Another benefit of this mix is its ability to regulate heat and moisture – essentially meaning that your feet are kept warm in winter, but also cooled down during warm summer days. Any excess heat and moisture, and even odour that might occur, will be released when the slippers have a rest, which is best to do somewhere in fresh air for the best result. This leads us to the longevity of the slippers - they are made in material with a certain robustness to them and providing that you take good care of them, they can last longer than just a single season. They are easily maintained – just follow the simple steps found here and enjoy your slippers.

Danish design for you to enjoy

With a proud design tradition, glerups have tried to follow suit. We know our footwear is not exactly as great an accomplishment as other Danish designs, such as Lego or the Sydney Opera house, but we like to think that our footwear at least follow the principles of Danish design tradition. There are three main principles that define Danish design, it must be simple, functional and elegant. Our footwear is simple in their design, there are no extra accessories or any other further ado. They are functional in the sense that they can be worn practically anywhere and all year round. Their elegance is found in their simplicity and the colours we have chosen after finding inspiration in Nordic nature. Their overall aesthetics make them fit easily into any style or wardrobe.
